Carry On, Warrior is a sweet, funny and inspiring book by Glennon Doyle Melton of Momastery. What I found particularly interesting was her way of completely disarming her reader in the first chapter where she begins by explaining (essentially) that just because she's skinny and pretty that people automatically assume that she has her life together. She claims she doesn't and then explains that she is a recovery addict, recovering bulimic and has spent time in both prison and a mental hospital. She goes on to also explain how her seemingly perfect marriage has been anything but and how she isn't the perfect mom either. In fact, none of us are perfect and she explains this with such a compassionate sense of humor that the reader can't help but feel uplifted. Reading this book at a tough time in my life was like a little vacation and I highly recommend it.
